I loved my Lid Magnets so much last week that I became a little obsessed with the idea. I couldn't stop thinking of what else I could do with it. Hence, the Lid Magnet Welcome Sign!
I got so into it that I made several signs to give away. Then I realized most people probably don't have metal doors- oops. I'm just used to having a metal door since I've been living in apartments for soooo long. So, if you don't have a metal door you could just forget the magnet part, glue the lids to a strip of wood, and hang it from a hook. Maybe I'll try making one of those next :)
Those are super cute Elise! And, I bet a lot of people do have metal doors. I know most of the places we've lived have had them. I'm glad you're feeling up to creating beautiful things again.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea! I will have to try this! Visiting from the blog hop...

I just discovered your blog today - I love it! I think I may use all my "me time" while a movie is on to enjoy it all. I identify with you - but I am an artist who stopped creating many things when I had a baby, and I am just now getting back to myself. Thank you for what you are doing! I look forward to seeing your future adventures. Who knows, I might have some as well! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun idea! Thank you for visiting my link party. :)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today and because of it discovered something amazing!! Our front door is metal!! Even though it looks like it has a wood grain! And to think I've been struggling with hooks to hang my wreath or a welcome sign. Well NO more! Because of your wonderful magnet posts I am off to make welcome door magnets from used mason jar seals. Thanks!!
