Enjoying the nice fall weather while it lasts ......
I am going to miss the warmth and the sunshine when winter hits. I tend to get cabin fever if I can't get out of the house. What do you do in winter to keep from going crazy? I don't ski or snowboard, so I'm kind of limited to short walks and hanging out at libraries and malls.

A really nice photo!Full of nature!
ReplyDeleteI still go out walking, I quite like wrapping up all nice and cosy with back pack and camera. Suzy x
ReplyDeleteI love taking off and head to open water, whether its a lake or the Gulf. Love it. But, if I am totally house bound, or know that I will be at some point during the winter. I make sure I have some good books on hand, a snuggley blanket and lots of tea/hot cocoa or any other type of hot drinks ready to be made. Always have the fireplace going to enjoy my day even more.
ReplyDeleteI'm not looking forward to winter either. We may get our first snow tomorrow--yikes!. Mostly I stay inside, but we like to go to a local arboretum (thanks to the library's free pass). I always take my camera. It's surprising how many interesting things there are to photograph in a seemingly "dead" garden. Berries, and lots of seed pods which can be fascinating up close. And in mid-winter I focus more on the interesting textures of the bark on different trees. Eventually we'll find early blooming flowers and witch hazel. One idea is to quickly plant some early blooming bulbs in your yard and look for them later in the winter. It always cheers my heart to see those first blooms.
ReplyDeleteI love the winter weather and look forward to it. I'm an artist and crafter so I look for any excuse to stay inside and work on projects all day. Our gym is only one mile away, so I go regardless of the temperature. Gotta stay in shape to do arts and crafts!
