This is the first time I have tried to embroider since I was about 10 years old. Embroidering pillow cases with my grandma as a kid wasn't too exciting, but now I'm starting to like it. It's way more fun when you can up-cycle a t-shirt with some pretty flowers!
I cut out the embroidery patch and sewed it on my once-long-sleeved-tee..... it had to be turned into a short sleeve thanks to a chain link fence that caught the sleeve and ripped it. Oh well..... sometimes those accidents turn out to be a good thing. Now I have something new for summer!
This is so cute! I used to embroider and cross stitch when I was little but haven't done it in many years. I still can't seem to part with my collection of embroidery floss :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely and looks really good considering you have not done embroidery for quite a while. x
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI never finished my pillowcase, but I remember spending hours on it. :) Your shirt turned out cute and sort of vintage looking.
ReplyDeleteawww...love this...my mom is such an amazing embroiderer and every time I see something like this I think of the times she spent teaching me...I should really pick up a needle and thread one of these days...thank you for sharing...xo
