I spent the past week in sunny Arizona and part of a day in snowy Southern Utah! It was such a good good break. Going home and being with my family is the best vacation I could ever ask for. I don't have to cook much, there's always lots of talking and laughing and game-playing, and I get to be far far away from my stresses and worries.
I haven't written about much about my new health struggles here yet because I was waiting to get tests done and results back. So, it's not absolutely 100% sure, but the doctors think I have a disorder called Endometriosis. The tests and MRI images show cysts and growths that look consistent with the disorder, but you basically have to have surgery to get an official diagnosis. It's been a hard few months, full of wondering what this disorder is going to do to me and what lengths I will have to go to be able to have more children. At times my sadness has been more than I thought I could stand and other times I have felt peace as I have prayed about this struggle. Sometimes it's just good to get away from it all and forget it. Going home for Christmas was the break that I needed. Being around a family that loves me always makes me feel better about life :)
I'm glad you had such a good time. Trips home are always therapeutic for me too.
ReplyDeleteYou are such an example to me. Your faith in this trial makes me want to be better. I think you will always make a difference to others, including your family, throughout your life. No health problems will keep you from doing that! I hope you can get some answers. :) Sending up prayers!
