A Starry Sky and Painted Leaves

This is what's on my desk this week.......

Watercolor Night Sky Landscape: Grow Creative Blog

My starry night sky landscape is a practice piece for a Craftsy tutorial I'm working on. I'm using salt and rubbing alcohol on top of the watercolor paint to create texture. Fun stuff!

And the watercolor leaf painting was a spur of the moment idea.  I was feeling the purples and oranges here and I love how the colors all worked out.  I framed it in one of my freshly painted blue frames and hung it up in the guest room :)

What are you working on this week?

  2. A bowl of night sky and darkening mountain scape...I can almost hear the song of night as the stars sparkle I love the circle of colour...
Flowers, big ones and little ones to dance across the wall have got me going these days.
You have me thinking about night skies now!
    Thank you for sharing.
    Peace.

  3. Both are stunning! I actually did an acrylic art class last week and we watered down the paint to have a watercolour effect. It made me think of your artwork, as in my mind it's the most incredible watercolour.
